I About User Service Agreement
1. Confirmation and Acceptance of the Agreement
Welcome to use the Document Database of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era (English version) (hereinafter referred to as "this Database"), which serves as a subsystem of the National Philosophy and Social Science Documentation Center and is developed and operated by the Library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator").
To enjoy the services of this Database, you should read and comply with the User Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as "this Agreement"). The final ownership and interpretation rights of the terms listed in this Agreement belong to the Operator of this Database. The Database fully complies with and executes the terms listed in this Agreement and other operational rules published by the Operator.
Please ensure that you carefully read and fully understand each term, especially those that exempt or limit liability. You can only become a registered user of this Database and enjoy the user services provided by this Database after fully accepting this Agreement and completing the registration process. Once you have successfully registered, it is considered that you have read and agreed to be bound by this Agreement and the operational rules.
If you are under 18 years old or do not have full civil conduct capacity, please read this Agreement under the accompaniment of your legal guardian. Otherwise, this Database will not be responsible for any adverse consequences that may occur to you from subsequent registration and use of this Database services, and has the right to terminate the service agreement between both parties after becoming aware of such situations.
2. Scope of the Agreement
This Agreement is the agreement established between you and the Operator of this Database regarding the use of this Database's related services, and it applies to all service operations conducted within this Database and all actions performed using the content and tools provided by this Database. The term "User" refers to the individual who uses the services related to this website, and is more frequently referred to as "You" in this agreement.
3. Amendment and Modification of the Agreement
This Database reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time if deemed necessary. (2) Violation of the aforementioned provisions shall be deemed a serious breach of contract by you, and the Operator of this Database may terminate the service for you, dissolve the service agreement and legal relationship between both parties, and if any loss is caused to this Database, the Operator will pursue legal recourse against you.
7. Modification and Termination of Service
This Database has the right to modify or terminate all or part of the service temporarily or permanently with prior notice.

1. User Registration Precautions
When registering as a user, you must:
(1) Confirm whether you are already a user of the National Center for Philosophy and Social Science Documentation; if so, there is no need to register again and you can log in directly.
(2) Provide true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your organization or yourself.
(3) Continuously update your registration information to meet the aforementioned requirements. If there are any errors, inaccuracies, and outdated or incomplete information in the details you provide, or if the database has reasonable grounds to believe that there are such issues with your information, this Database reserves the right to suspend or terminate your use of all or part of the services until the issues are resolved.
(4) Strictly guard against the leakage of your registration account and password. Please keep your registration account and password confidential and log out properly after each use of the service. You are fully responsible for all activities and incidents associated with your account. If you discover any leakage of your registration account or password, please notify this website to handle it immediately. Should any leakage of your registration account or password occur due to your personal reasons, you shall bear all the consequences therefrom. The Operator of this Database is not responsible for any account security or privacy protection issues caused by reasons other than this Database's own actions, and will not compensate for any losses inflicted on the parties involved.
(5) Upon successful registration with this Database, you will automatically become a user of the National Center for Philosophy and Social Science Documentation.
2. User Responsibilities
(1) Strict Compliance with Legal Regulations
When using the services, you must comply with the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China, Cryptography Law of the People's Republic of China, Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China, Patent Law of the People's Republic of China, Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China, Law on Guarding State Secrets of the People's Republic of China, Regulations on the Protection of Computer Information System Security of the People's Republic of China, Administrative Measures for the Protection of the Security of International Networking of Computer Information Networks, Regulations on Protection of the Information Transmission Rights on Internet, and other relevant laws and regulations.
If this Database has reasonable grounds to believe that your actions may violate relevant laws, regulations, rules, or decrees, it has the right to terminate the provision of services for you at any time without prior notice.
(2) Strict Compliance with the Following Provisions
a. The information submitted to this Database must be true, accurate, complete, and valid;
b. Do not use this Database for plagiarism, defamation, insult, threat, illegal harassment, or other illegal and criminal activities;
c. Do not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of any third party, including intellectual property rights such as copyright, patent, and trademark, trade secrets, privacy, portrait rights, and reputation;
d. All contents provided by this Database, including but not limited to text, images, charts, data, audio and video recordings, website logos, identifiers, trademarks, domain names, software, programs, layout design, column directories and names, content classification standards, etc., are owned by the Operator and relevant rights holders. Without the written permission of the rights owner, no institution or individual may use the aforementioned rights. Otherwise, the Library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will pursue the legal responsibilities of the infringer;
e. Users are prohibited from crawling or theft of all information such as pages, bibliographical references, and full texts of this Database. Otherwise, the Library of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will pursue the legal responsibilities of the thief according to the law.
(3) Liability for Compensation
If you violate this Agreement or relevant legal provisions and infringe upon the rights of a third party, resulting in a claim for compensation from the third party to the Operator or employees of this Database (including but not limited to losses suffered, litigation costs, attorney fees, etc.), you must compensate the Operator and the employees of this Database for the economic and reputational losses suffered as a result.
3. User Privacy Protection
This Database fully respects user privacy and promises not to make available to the public or disclose your registration information and non-public content stored in this Database without your legal authorization, except in the following cases:
(1) Based on the provisions of relevant laws and regulations, the requirements of government authorities and judicial departments, or the legitimate service procedures of this Database;
(2) In emergency situations, to protect your and the public's rights and interests;
(3) In emergency situations, to protect the legitimate rights and interests of this Database's intellectual property rights.

V. Miscellaneous

2. The conclusion, execution, interpretation, and resolution of disputes in this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
3. If any dispute arises between the parties concerning the content or execution of this Agreement, both parties shall endeavor to resolve it through friendly consultation; if the consultation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit in the court located where the Operator of this Database is based.
4. The failure of the Operator of this Database to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
5. If any term of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining terms of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect and shall be binding.
